Tippecanoe Battleground, Battleground, IN - May 31, 2009
On November 7,1811 near the Wabash River North East of what is now Lafayette, West Lafayette and Purdue University at the little town of Battleground is a historic site where American military forces under General William Harrison defeated Native American Forces commanded by the Prophet.  The actual battleground held by the American forces is not only preserved here but there is an excellent museum that explains the history leading up to the battle and its later consequences.
